In October 1992, New Haven (CT) was granted an expansion Double-A Franchise, the New Haven Ravens. The Ravens began play in 1994 as a Colorado Rockies' affiliate.
The Ravens played in Yale Field, home of the Yale University Bulldogs, from 1994 until 2003, and won its lone Eastern League title in 2000.
The team was sold in 2003, and the new ownership relocated the franchise to Manchester (NH), where the Fisher Cats continue to play today.
